The Vermont State Society will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 2nd, 6:30pm-8:30pm to have cocktails, elect officers, and discuss Vermont issues.
As you may know, March 2nd is Town Meeting Day in Vermont and there are town elections held, school budgets considered and various ballot items voted upon, including a big one this year on the future of Vermont Yankee.
Like last year, the VTSS meeting will take place at the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern, 639 Indiana Ave,NW (7th & Penn NW). Located 1/2 block east of the Archives-Navy Memorial (Yellow/Green) Metro, and 2 blocks south of the Gallery Place-Chinatown (Red) Metro station. VTSS will provide delicious appetizers, and the drinks are on you. Please email VTSS if you can attend so we know how many to expect. You can also RSVP via the VTSS Facebook page.

The VTSS’ holiday party — our last event of 2009 — took place at the 701 Restaurant in downtown Washington. With a specially designed Vermont menu by 701′s VT Chef Adam Longworth (see below), the group enjoyed great food and great company. Thanks are due to VTSS Vice President Alyson Richards for planning the event and to Magic Hat for a generous donation. Happy holidays to all!
